I used to take a lenient stance on being careless. For me, carelessness means that I know my stuffs, and I will definitely do better next time. But is everything as simple as it seems? In school, how many fellow school mates will overtake you in the ranking? Given the stiff competition, that few points dropped might just push you towards the left side of the bell curve. In corporate, careless mistakes made will be pounced on mercilessly.
Now, I have a totally different perspective for carelessness.
If you lack the knowledge, go find out more.
If you are careless, that is your stupidity.
